InstantToolsPro's PDF Editor lets you edit PDF files directly in your browser — add text, insert images, draw shapes and freehand annotations, highlight content, sign documents, stamp them, and rearrange pages, all without installing any software. There's no signup, no watermark on your download, and your file is never uploaded to a server while you work, since every edit happens client-side in the browser you're already using.
Add typed text anywhere on a page with your choice of font, size, color, bold, italic and clickable hyperlinks. Edit the PDF's existing text in place instead of just adding new text on top. Insert your own images and resize or reposition them freely. Draw rectangles and highlights, or switch to freehand pen, straight lines, arrows and ovals for markup and annotations. Add your signature by drawing it, typing it in a handwriting-style font, or uploading a photo with the background removed automatically. Stamp pages with checkmarks, common labels like PAID or APPROVED, or the current date. Manage pages by rotating, reordering, duplicating, deleting or inserting blank ones. Every change can be undone or redone, and your work is auto-saved to your own device so an accidental refresh doesn't cost you your edits.
Adding new text places a fresh, fully editable text box anywhere on the page — useful for filling in blanks, annotating, or adding notes. Editing existing text works differently: click directly on a line already in the PDF, and the tool covers the original with a background-matched patch and replaces it with an editable copy in a similar size, color and font style, so you can correct a typo, update a date or change an amount without redesigning the page. Because the replacement uses the closest standard font rather than the document's original embedded font, spacing can differ very slightly from the original in some cases.
The signature tool supports three ways to sign: draw with a mouse or finger, type your name and pick from several handwriting-style fonts, or upload a photo of your signature with the white background automatically made transparent. Signatures you create are saved in your browser for reuse across sessions, so you don't have to redraw the same signature every time. Marks, text stamps like SELF ATTESTED or RECEIVED, and the current date can all be added the same way, in any language, with a choice of ink color.
The Pages tool shows a thumbnail of every page with controls to rotate it, move it earlier or later in the document, duplicate it, delete it, or insert a blank page after it. Reordering and deleting keep all the edits you've made on the pages that stay in the document; rotating a page removes anything added to that specific page since its position changes, and you'll be asked to confirm before that happens.
Because editing happens entirely in your browser using client-side PDF rendering, your document isn't transmitted to a server while you work on it. The auto-save feature that lets you recover your session after a refresh also stores everything locally in your own browser, not on InstantToolsPro's servers, and can be turned off or cleared at any time from the editor. This makes the tool suitable for sensitive documents like ID cards, contracts and bank statements, alongside everyday PDFs.
The editor works the same way on a phone or tablet browser as it does on desktop, including touch-based drawing, signing with your finger, and tapping to edit text, with no separate app required. Toolbars adapt to smaller screens so every feature stays reachable on mobile.
