Who is Chandan Maurya? 7 Inspiring Lessons from a Developer Turning Side Projects into Startups
“Code. Hustle. Repeat.”
This isn’t just a motto. It’s the heartbeat of my journey — from a small-town dreamer to a self-taught frontend developer, indie maker, and digital entrepreneur.
I’m Chandan Maurya, a curious mind who finds joy in turning problems into products, stories into experiences, and side projects into startups.
From coding tools late at night to planning product launches during tea breaks, I’m building my vision — one line of code at a time.

The Beginning — A Self-Taught Journey Fueled by Curiosity
I graduated with a BCA degree from Aryabhatt Knowledge University, Patna — not knowing how exactly I’d fit into the world of tech. But one thing was clear:
“Mujhe kuch aisa banana tha, jo log use karein. Jo kisi ka kaam asaan karein.”
Without IIT degrees or MNC internships, I started teaching myself JavaScript, Node.js, React, and MongoDB. I would learn during the day and experiment with code at night. Slowly, these experiments turned into full-fledged digital products.
From Side Projects to Startups — What I’ve Built So Far
1. InstantToolsPro.com – A Website Full of Tools
A collection of smart online tools — calculators, checkers, and converters — that help users save time and get instant results.
Whether it’s SEO, utility tools, or cricket APIs, I’m making free tools accessible for all. My dream is to make it the “Swiss Knife” of the internet.
2. CodeCraft – Creative Digital Products for Devs
A curated store for animated login pages, developer UI kits, landing page templates, and more.
It’s fun, it’s fast, and it’s made for developers who want beautiful code.
Goal: Help devs build stunning projects without starting from scratch.
3. NoteWave – A Notes + To-Do App (In Progress)
Built with React Native & Firebase, it’s a minimalist, cloud-synced productivity app.
It focuses on smooth animations, dark mode, and a distraction-free UI. It’s my love letter to minimalism and daily planning.
Past Learnings — My First Exit: KnowledgeFolk.in
Not many know, but I once ran a content-based website called KnowledgeFolk.in. It was a passion project that attracted decent traffic and had strong SEO growth.
But one day, traffic suddenly dropped. Algorithms changed, and everything I built felt like it was crashing.
So I made a tough call and sold the website for ₹50,000.
That experience didn’t break me. It taught me what not to do — and gave me the confidence that I can build again.
My Dreams — What I’m Building For
I don’t just want to be a developer.
I want to be a creator of systems, tools, and experiences that empower others.
Short-Term Goals:
- Scale InstantToolsPro to 100+ tools
- Launch 16+ premium products on CodeCraft
- Launch my first AI-powered micro-SaaS
Long-Term Vision:
- Build my own version of ChatGPT-like AI in Hindi & regional languages
- Make a startup that provides smart tools for digital India
- Mentor upcoming devs from Tier-2 & Tier-3 cities
- Achieve financial freedom through my own digital empire
What Keeps Me Going
I work full-time (Monday to Sunday) and only get Wednesday off.
But I still build, I still learn, and I still post — because I believe in compounding.
I maintain a custom planner called “Code. Hustle. Repeat.” to track every goal.
I share my journey on LinkedIn, connect with creators, and never shy away from starting over.
“Dreams don’t work unless you do. And I’m just getting started.”
What Makes Me Different?
- I’m not waiting for permission. I build and launch anyway.
- I use failures (like KnowledgeFolk) as fuel.
- I believe in open learning, honest storytelling, and practical problem-solving.

I’m Chandan Maurya — a frontend dev, tools builder, content creator, and dreamer from India.
I’m not here to go viral. I’m here to build slow, smart, and forever.
